Women in Silicon Hardware (WISH)

With a substantial investment of US$360 million in IT hardware and 76,000 crores in the Semicon India Programme, India is spearheading industry expansion. With this increase, women have a rare chance to make a lasting difference akin to what they have done in the computer industry. Even with this potential, women only hold 13% of hardware roles in the United States, demonstrating the continued gender disparity.

The underrepresentation of women in hardware—a critical component of the semiconductor industry—is a noticeable concern in this quickly growing field. The Women in Silicon Hardware (WISH) programme was created in recognition of this disparity in order to address and correct gender disparities. The initiative seeks to enable ambitious women to forge bright futures in the fast-paced, constantly-changing tech industry.

Aspire to build a promising career in the Hardware and Semicon industry:

A woman student currently in the third year of B.Tech. / B.E.
Specialise in ECE or EEE
Available for a full time 6-months internship starting in January, 2025
Scored over 70% in both X and XII

WISH is a revolutionary programme that TalentSprint and Google are supporting. By giving them the tools they need to succeed in the silicon sector, the programme aims to empower ambitious women engineers across India. This programme, which has Google's support, gives participants a scholarship worth 100% of the programme fee.
